KISH Earth Apéritif

Umami Sour

Where earthiness meets elegance with a bright, citrusy zing. The Umami Sour blends Kish EARTH Smoked Mushroom Umami Apéritif with zesty lemon and a hint of sweetness. Topped with a frothy head and a flourish of bitters, it’s a cocktail that surprises and delights with every sip.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Kish EARTH Smoked Mushroom Umami Apéritif
  • 1 oz fresh squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 0.5 oz Egg White, optional
  • Garnish: Angostura Bitters

Note: While leaving out the egg white will not change the taste of the cocktail too drastically, it will change the mouthfeel and texture. Egg whites are utilized in cocktails to balance flavors and also create a silky texture and frothy head.

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a chilled cocktail shaker without ice and dry-shake for about 30 seconds or until the egg whites are aerated. If you omit the egg whites you can shake for less time.
  2. Next, add ice and shake again until everything is well chilled, about another 15-20 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled rocks or coupe glass and garnish with a few drops of Angostura Bitters.
  4. To add an option flourish, gently drag a toothpick through the drops to create a design.
